GCFormer (TM) - Installing the GCFBinService

Installing the GCFBinService on your File Server -

           1. At your file server, run the GCFBinService installer package -
                  GCFBinServiceSetup0910_0.msi

           2. This installer package will put the program files into the
                  GCFBinService folder, and add the GCFBinService to the Registry.

           3. The GCFBinService folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\GCFormer\Networked

           4. Create the "GCFORMER" Share, that points to the
                  C:\Program Files (x86)\GCFormer folder, which is
                  one level above the GCFBinService folder.

                  Set the permissions so that this Share can be used
                  from the workstations by Everyone with Full Access.

           5. Backups: in the GCFBinService folder, the file GCFormerNet.bin,
                  and the other *.bin files, and the "Logos" and "Signs" sub-folders,
                  should be backed up, since the *.bin files contain all of the
                  manually-entered data that is used to write checks.

           6. You can run the GCFBinService Monitor with the black icon on
                  the desktop to see the name of your server, and
                  to see the status of the GCFBinService.
